Guided Plant Medicine Therapy
At Sacred Ground Retreats, we believe that plant medicine, specifically medicinal mushrooms, offers a profound pathway for personal growth and deep healing. We’ve guided many individuals through plant medicine sessions, witnessing significant positive changes in those struggling with conditions like treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and more.
These experiences have the potential to shift the course of one’s life. To support you fully in this journey, our retreats offer an immersive environment led by a team of skilled therapists, all dedicated to helping you engage with the healing potential of plant medicine in a safe and supportive group setting
*Please note: Sacred Ground Retreats does not provide plant medicine mushrooms. Participants are responsible for obtaining any necessary plant medicine from a local apothecary.

Frequently Asked Questions
The best practices for using Plant Medicine include setting, intention, and support. By attending a group retreat, you have the benefit of being in a tranquil setting, supported by trained staff, and alongside fellow participants who will undergo the journey with you. Group experience and integration allow participants to “speak a common language” and show up for each other in a supportive, nonjudgmental way. The group often continues to bond long after the program is finished.
Oftentimes, plant medicines are referred to as sacred and used in “sacred ceremonies.” For us, we believe that God created these mushrooms, they grow freely all over the world and have been used ritually and religiously for thousands of years. Sacred Ground represents our reverence for the earth and everything in it. We are connected to the ground we walk on, the air we breathe, and every living thing on our planet. None of us are independent but are created to be in a harmonious relationship with the earth and each other. We offer these retreats as a service to those who need them and we show up in reverence for their power, healing potential, and transformational ability. We are humbled to serve our participants through these journeys and pray for guidance and wisdom as we go.
“Plant Medicine “magic mushrooms” are highly addictive drugs that can cause brain damage.” Plant Medicine is a naturally occurring fungus (mushroom) and research has shown that it treats addictive behavior not causes it. Rather than brain damage, Plant Medicine boosts neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to rewire itself).

We are committed to having a learning posture
We learn from researchers, scientists, continued education, others in the space, and most importantly from our participants. We believe that the spiritual experience is one of the most profound, life-changing, journeys that can truly have a life-long effect on how people show up in the world. While our professed faith is Christian, we welcome and invite people from every sect of faith or no faith at all. We believe in the power of love and kindness and want each participant to feel safe, held, and cared for throughout our program.
